G-OFF

Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the G-OFF iOS app and the g-off.app website, both operated by Dreamers Digital.

1. The Short Version

G-OFF does not collect your data, because G-OFF has nowhere to send it.

The app has no server of its own and no networking code for your content. Everything you type stays on your iPhone. There is no account, no login, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third parties.

Purchases are handled securely by Apple. G-OFF has no server of its own and never sends your tasks, health data, or gravity readings anywhere. Your life stays on your device.

The website is static, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.

2. Apple Health Data

2.1 Optional and off by default. Apple Health is never connected unless you turn it on yourself, in Profile. G-OFF works normally without it, and asks for nothing at first launch.

2.2 Read-only. G-OFF requests read access only. It requests no share or write permission of any kind, for any data type. There is no code path in the app that writes to Apple Health.

2.3 Six data types, and nothing else. If you connect it, G-OFF reads exactly these:

2.4 Apple’s permission sheet is the record. iOS will list every one of the six above under “Allow G-OFF to read,” and you can allow or deny each one individually. Nothing outside that list is requested, and anything you deny is simply not read.

2.5 One purpose only. This data is used for exactly one thing: adjusting your gravity reading, on the device, at the moment it is read. It informs a productivity heuristic. It is not used to assess, interpret or report on your health — see section 10.

2.6 Processed entirely on-device. All Health access happens through Apple’s on-device HealthKit framework. The values are read into memory, folded into the reading, and discarded. They are never transmitted anywhere, to us or to anyone else.

2.7 Zero storage. Health data is not copied into G-OFF’s own database, not written to any file, and not cached. G-OFF keeps no record of what it read.

2.8 Zero presence in backups. Health data never appears in G-OFF’s automatic rolling backups, and never appears in a backup you export. There is nothing of it to appear.

2.9 Zero write. G-OFF has never written and will never write a single sample to Apple Health. Nothing you do in the app changes what is in your Health app.

2.10 Never sold, shared, or advertised against. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never shared with any third party, never sold, and never used to build a profile of you. It is not used for any purpose beyond 2.5.

2.11 Revocable at any time. Turn it off in the Health app → your profile picture → Apps and Services → G-OFF, or in G-OFF’s own Profile screen. Access stops immediately and the app carries on working.

3. Everything Else G-OFF Holds

3.1 Zero server. There is no G-OFF backend, no G-OFF account system, and no G-OFF API. We operate no infrastructure that could receive your content, so there is no server-side copy of anything you do — not now, and not by accident.

3.2 Stored locally, all of it. Your tasks, missions, objectives and tags; your schedule and any recharge days; your readiness ratings and detailed logs; your settings and preferences; and your automatic backups all live in the app’s own private storage on your device, and in the backup files it writes into its Files-app folder.

3.3 No account, no analytics, no third parties. There is no login, no email required, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK of our own, no A/B testing framework, and no third-party data processor of any kind embedded in the app.

3.4 Calendar — what G-OFF writes. Apple Calendar is optional and off unless you turn it on in Profile → Connections. With Show Repeats in Apple Calendar on, G-OFF creates a dedicated calendar named “G-OFF” on your device and writes your repeating tasks into it — and, if you separately opt in, today’s and tomorrow’s timed one-off tasks. It never writes into a calendar you already had, and it never reads back anything it wrote itself.

3.5 Calendar — what G-OFF reads. If you choose to reflect calendars in, G-OFF reads events only from the calendars you specifically select — nothing is selected by default — and reads only the time and title needed to draw a fixed block on your Today screen. Attendee names, email addresses and event notes are never read. Both directions run entirely through Apple’s on-device EventKit framework; no calendar data, written or read, is transmitted anywhere. You can turn either direction off in Profile → Connections, or delete the “G-OFF” calendar in the Calendar app, which G-OFF treats as a request to stop.

3.6 Rolling local backups. G-OFF writes an automatic snapshot of your board about once a day, keeping the five most recent and deleting older ones. These files sit in the app’s folder in the Files app, where you can browse, copy, move or delete them yourself. Because they are in the app’s Documents folder, they are included in your iPhone’s own encrypted iCloud or local device backup — that is Apple’s backup of your phone, governed by Apple’s privacy policy, and we have no access to it. If you use Export Backup to send a file somewhere, that copy becomes subject to wherever you sent it. We never see it.

3.7 Zero tracking. G-OFF collects no device identifiers, no advertising identifier (IDFA), no location, no contacts, no photos, and no behavioural telemetry. It does not fingerprint your device and it tracks you across nothing, because it talks to nothing.

3.8 The website. g-off.app is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and embeds no third-party pixels. If you join the waitlist, the email address you type is sent to our email provider solely so we can email you about G-OFF; you can unsubscribe from any message.

4. Purchases

Paid features are sold through Apple’s App Store using Apple’s in-app purchase system. Purchases are handled securely by Apple. We never see, receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or any other payment information — Apple does not give it to us, and we have no server that could hold it.

Nothing about a purchase changes the rest of this policy: your tasks, health data and gravity readings still never leave your device. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

5. What We Receive

Nothing, automatically.

Three things reach us only if you choose to send them:

  1. Email you write to us, at hello@g-off.app. We see whatever you put in the message. The beta feedback button prefills your app version number, and nothing else.
  2. Your email address, if you join the waitlist on this website. It is used only to email you about G-OFF, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  3. Crash reports, during the TestFlight beta. If you agreed to share crash and usage data with developers when you set up your iPhone, Apple may send us crash logs and basic aggregate usage figures through TestFlight. These come from Apple, are not linked to your identity, and contain none of your task content. You can turn this off in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. 6. Children

G-OFF is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone, of any age.

7. Deleting Your Data

Delete the app. Everything goes with it, including the automatic backups.

If you want to keep a copy first, use Profile → Export Backup. If you want your data gone from an iPhone backup as well, you’ll need to remove that backup through iOS Settings.

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side, and no request you need to make. If you have emailed us or joined the waitlist and want that removed, just ask.

8. Your Rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none — so in practice those rights are satisfied on your own device: your data is already in your possession, exportable at any time from Profile → Export Backup, and deletable by removing the app.

9. Changes

If G-OFF ever gains sync, accounts, or analytics, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be called out in the app’s release notes. This page’s “last updated” date is the honest record.

10. Not Medical Advice

G-OFF is a productivity tool, not a medical device. Nothing in it is diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice, and the gravity reading is not a clinical measure of anything. The research it references describes patterns commonly reported in ADHD and informed the design of its features; it is not an assessment of you. For clinical support, please speak to a qualified professional. This is set out in full in section 1 of our Terms of Service.
