Flight Log
A running record of what’s shipped in G-OFF — the milestones, not the minutiae. Routine fixes and internal changes don’t make the list; this is the highlight reel.
v0.58.0 — August 2026: Breathing Reset
- Double-tapping the Living Planet in Orbit now launches a guided two-minute breathing reset. Box Breathing from the Rituals menu goes to the same place.
- The session follows a 4-4-4-4 cycle — Inhale · Hold · Exhale · Hold — with the planet’s aura expanding and contracting as a visual anchor. Soft haptic pulses mark each phase, so the rhythm can be followed by touch alone.
- Zero-demand by design: no log entry, no momentum points, no score of any kind. The session writes nothing. It exists to help you return to baseline without leaving the board.
v0.57.0 — August 2026: Apple Calendar
- G-OFF can now show your repeats in Apple Calendar. They’re written into a dedicated “G-OFF” calendar the app creates, as repeating patterns rather than a list of occurrences — so there’s no trail of past instances left sitting unticked. A repeat set to a part of the day appears as a free band, not a busy appointment: it’s a zone, not a deadline.
- Optionally, your one-off timed tasks can go out too — today and tomorrow only, so the calendar shows a plan rather than a backlog. Updates are held for a couple of minutes while you’re still moving things around.
- The other direction: pick which of your calendars are allowed to speak, and their events appear on Today as fixed blocks. They’re read-only, they never touch your reading, and scheduling a task now routes around them instead of dropping it on top of a meeting.
- Apple Health and Apple Calendar moved into a single Connections screen in Profile, and Data Management became its own screen alongside it.
v0.56.0 — August 2026: Repeating Tasks
- Added repeating tasks, in two deliberately different kinds. A Routine clears itself overnight and comes back the next day: nothing carries over, nothing accumulates, and a day you didn’t get to leaves no trace at all. A Commitment stays on the board until it’s done, and gains weight the longer it waits, exactly like any other task.
- Repeats can be given a part of the day — mornings, afternoons, evenings. Before its window opens, a task stays out of the way and adds no weight to the reading, so a full week of routines no longer makes every morning read heavy.
- Typing works: “read every day”, “gym on weekdays”, “report every Monday” set the repeat as you write. “Call mom on Friday” stays a single Friday.
- A repeating task offers two answers rather than one — tick it off if you already did it, or commit to doing it now and land on the Timeline.
- Every repeat can be paused, edited or retired from the new Repeats list in Missions. Stopping one leaves everything already on your board alone.
- The Activity Log moved from the Missions header into Profile.
v0.55.0 — August 2026: Rituals
- Added Rituals: a short, zero-decision physical reset (hydration, movement, box breathing) offered only on a stated Heavy calibration or check-in — never by the gravity score alone.
- Completing one shows up as a same-day Gold Badge on Today.
- The Orbit deck’s swipe-down now releases a card back to the backlog instead of moving it to tomorrow; a “Later…” panel handles named-day choices instead.
v0.54.0 — August 2026: Orbit Rhythm
- Added Orbit Rhythm: a thirty-day wave of the daily gravity reading, reached from Profile, summarized in words rather than counts or streaks.
- The wave saturates at the planet’s own ±80 visual peak while the summary still reads the raw score underneath.
v0.53.0 — August 2026: Drift, Missions & Today Overhaul
- Replaced hand-rolled swipe gestures with native swipe actions across Drift, Missions, and Today.
- Unified toast notifications across the app.
- Added a triage-aware task picker.
v0.51.0 — August 2026: In-Place Orbit Briefing
- Replaced the modal Orbit status sheet with a briefing card that expands in place over the Living Planet, dismissed by header or scrim tap only.
v0.50.0 — August 2026: Science Callout Tutorials
- Added Science Callout tutorials that explain the gravity mechanic in context on the Orbit page.
- General Orbit layout polish.
v0.49.0 — August 2026: CloudKit-Ready Data Layer
- Migrated the SwiftData schema to be CloudKit-ready (sync itself is not yet turned on).
- Locked the app to portrait orientation.
v0.48.0 — August 2026: Guided Tutorials & On-Device Backups
- Added a discovery tutorial system that introduces key features as people reach them.
- Added rolling on-device backups (daily, most recent five retained).
- Reworked the Profile screen.
v0.46.0 — August 2026: Quick Adjust
- Added Quick Adjust: nudge a task’s scheduled time and duration directly from the timeline, without opening the full editor.
v0.43.0 — August 2026: Interactive Onboarding
- Added an interactive onboarding walkthrough with an animated Living Planet demo.
v0.37.0 — August 2026: HealthKit Integration
- Connected sleep and recent workouts (read-only) into the gravity score alongside task load.
- Rebalanced the gravity algorithm so the full ±100 range is reachable with or without Health connected.
v0.35.0 — August 2026: Recharge Cycle
- Added the Recharge Cycle: declaring a rest day in advance starts easing gravity from the moment it’s booked, not from whether it’s taken.
v0.34.0 — August 2026: Gravity Algorithm v2
- Replaced the original gravity formula with Algorithm v2: a multi-term model combining active load, momentum, self-reported state, and environment.
- Added a live calibration fade and a developer telemetry overlay.
v0.31.0 — August 2026: Orbit Deck Task Triage
- Added the Orbit Deck: swipeable card stacks (Quick Wins, Clear Backlog) for working through tasks one at a time.
- Starting a card hands the task to Today as a scheduled, timed item.
v0.30.0 — August 2026: The Living Planet
- Introduced the Living Planet: a real-time Metal-shader planet that visualizes the gravity score as a physical body — heavier and slower under load, lighter and faster with momentum.
v0.28.0 — May 2026: Schedule Engine
- Added the Schedule Engine: detects same-day scheduling conflicts and cascades neighboring tasks when a task is dragged to a new time.
v0.19.0 — May 2026: Offline-First Data Layer
- Migrated the app from a cloud backend to fully offline-first, on-device persistence.
v0.18.0 — May 2026: Backup & Restore
- Added JSON export/import for backing up and restoring app data, plus a Settings entry point.
v0.13.0 — May 2026: Agenda, Today & Timeline
- Added the Agenda tab with a Today list view and a timed Timeline view.
- Added a custom calendar picker and smart scheduling defaults.
v0.8.0 — May 2026: Target Lock
- Added Target Lock: mark a task as the fixed next priority, independent of when it’s scheduled.
v0.2.0 — May 2026: First Build
- First tagged build: the original gauge-style home view, a hierarchical Mission → Objective → Task browser, and task creation.
